On Friday,
May 18th, the Brad Davis Band (Brad Davis, Tim May & Dan Miller)
performed at Eddie's
Attic in Atlanta with hometown favorites The
Dappled Grays and the hot young band from Calhoun, Georgia, The
Lovell Sisters. After Brad Davis' set, Brad invited The Dappled
Grays' Casey Cook and the Lovell Sisters' Jake Stargel up on stage
to join he and Tim May for a flatpickers jam.
The
four flatpickers ripped on "Big Sandy River" and "Lonesome
Fiddle Blues" and the crowd went wild. By the way, if you have
not heard about sixteen-year-old Jake Stargel, you will. Many are already
calling him "the next Bryan Sutton." After the short flatpickers
set Tim May said, "Jake and Casey are both definitely the next
flatpicking superstars. It was great to have the chance to pick with
those guys." Check out these photos from the show. Left to right:
